Any Government which is many years in power, or country ruled by a single party for years, it becomes a dictatorship. This is a fact. As Steve Jobs said, "For we connect the dots, we have to look back." Simply, we look at history we know that this is not just a theory but a fact, and as everyone knows, FACTS AGAINST NO ARGUMENTS.

For nearly 50 years, Syria is ruled by the same party, the Baath.

The country is led with an iron hand by President Bashar al-Assad since July 2000. Before that, his father, Hafez al-Assad, presided over the country for 30 years. During this period, he forbade the creation of opposition parties and the participation of any opposition candidate in an election.

The strategy of these dictators is using hunger and misery (this is normal in the DNA of Dictators). The Syrian government controls the major cities and major highways and has used hunger and poverty as its main weapon to punish the civilian population, most affected by the fighting.

All this horror scenario had other vacuums of horrors. As it is written in the Holy Scriptures - "Deep calls to deep."
